Valley Steelhead Float Trip

If you are looking for a day of steelhead fishing but don't want to endure the intense conditions a coastal river may have? Look no further. The Feather River holds one of the best steelhead runs in the North Valley of California. Only an hour and twenty minutes north of Sacramento, it's prime location makes this a great option for the greater Silicon Valley. With two distinct runs of steelhead (fall and spring) there are endless opportunities throughout the year to target these fish. Not only are they plentiful, but they are very user friendly. It is not uncommon to have double digit days on the feather. On average, fish range anywhere from 16-24 inches. When hooked, they tend to peel drag and jump like no tomorrow. This trip is an excellent option for beginner and novice anglers alike, as you will have multiple opportunities to land a steelhead.
