Sockeye Salmon
Our Sockeye Salmon Season kicks off with our early run on June 15th and can last all the way until the end of August. We fish from both Drift Boats and Power Boats and tailor our Fully Guided Sockeye Salmon Fishing Trips to the run timing and size. One day we could be fishing on the Kasilof River, and the next you’ll find us chasing them on the Kenai River. Our trips remain flexible so that we are able to provide our clients with the highest chance of success.
When fishing for Sockeye Salmon, we use two different techniques; the first of them being the very popular technique of “flossing” using a fly rod and fly.
The second technique uses a conventional approach using bobber and jig, when the right conditions present themselves.
We offer both half day (4 hours) and full day (8 hours) Guided Trips for Sockeye Salmon and all trips are “all-inclusive”, meaning we provide everything you need to fish with except for your licenses and stamps. After your trip, if you plan to keep fish, we will filet and prepare your catch for transport to the processor so that it can be packed and prepared to ship back home.
Polarized sunglasses Hat Sun screen Rain jacket Please dress according to the weather at the time you will be here. Layers are best. Rain jackets work well to retain body heat. A dry bag with change of clothes is recommended.
A deposit is due upon approval of your booking request. We will happily refund your deposit at least 7 full days prior to your scheduled trip. Deposits will not be refunded for cancellations less than 7 days before the trip. Trips will be charged in full for day of trip cancellations or no shows.
If your guide cancels your trip at any time before the commencement of your trip, you will be refunded in full. Optionally, Guide Book will do everything we can to get you out on the water with another awesome guide.
Unfortunately, we don't control the weather. If a guide feels that they cannot safely perform a trip, they may cancel. Weather cancellation is at the guides discretion alone. If a trip is canceled for bad weather, you will be refunded in full.
