We met and fished with Cy today. Was one of the most memorable days fishing I’ve ever had! This team is legit and will put you on the fish and make you feel like you knew what you were doing all along! Can’t wait to go back!

Had an amazing day with guide, Shane Griffith, through some challenging high-water conditions! Shane kept us positive and put us onto the fish throughout the day. The mark of a truly impressive guide is making the best of the situation. We had a blast and will absolutely be back soon!

The guides at SHRC are fantastic! They took a group of inexperienced high school students out 2 days in a row and patiently worked hard to provide them all with an incredible and memorable experience. Very impressed with their professionalism and expertise. I have personally had Shane G. as a guide more than once and will continue to book with him. Not only did we catch a bunch of trout, but we had a great time as well.

I have recently started fly fishing, and the South Holston River Company is top-notch. My guide, Shane Griffith, is the best. He took time with me to teach me the fundamentals of fly fishing. Shane has a great personality and has allot of patience with a rookie like me. Thanks for making fly fishing fun. Highly recommended.

My daughter and I had an amazing time on an all day float trip! Shane Griffith knows what he is doing, and I sincerely appreciate the manner in which he taught my daughter the necessary tips and techniques for her to catch and land fish! Shane was pleasant, professional and polite. He kept us on the fish, and we had a blast! We will be back!

My buddy and I had a great day on the South Holston and Watauga rivers. With Barry Heller’s vast experience, he was able to guide us to catch some beautiful brown and rainbow trout on both rivers. As this was our first time fishing north eastern Tennessee, Barry did a great job explaining the area and the history of the rivers. Can’t go without mentioning the delicious chili provided for lunch as well. We would recommend Barry and South Holston River Company to anyone looking to fish TN.

My son and I floated the South Holston with guide Shane Griffith yesterday and had an absolutely amazing day catching and releasing over 30 rainbow and brown trout! This was a birthday / early Father’s Day gift from my son and his wife and my wife and calling it “Epic” wouldn’t be an understatement! She is a wonderful guide, and after assessing our skill level with a fly rod, consistently put us in the best position for success coupled with his extensive knowledge and familiarity with the river. Thank you South Holston River Company and Shane Griffith for an “Epic” day!!

My husband and I had the most wonderful experience with Patrick on the South Halston River! It was my second time to book with them. This trip we booked two days with him and had a variety of experiences. Patrick was extremely enjoyable and professional in every way. He communicated clearly and was prepared each day to give us amazing fly fishing adventures. Not only did we learn a lot we both caught some record trout! My 10 pound rainbow was beautiful and Patrick coached me through the entire process of bringing the huge trout in the boat. I highly recommend South Halston River Company! We will be back!!!!! Thank you Patrick for one of my best days ever on the river!

My wife and I fished two days with Patrick Fulkrod. It was over the top. We caught way more fish than I expected thanks to Patrick’s excellent “coaching” and my wife landed the biggest rainbow I’ve ever seen in person. It was 25” 10lbs. A real tackle smasher. Two different boats both first class and safe. Two different rivers and two completely different types of fishing. We learned, we laughed, we hugged goodbye and we vowed to do it again asap. If i could put more than 5 stars it still might not be enough to express our gratitude to Patrick for taking such great care of us. Thanks Patrick for making both days truly unforgettable.

I had an absolutely amazing guided fishing trip today with Patrick from the South Holston River Company. The water conditions were perfect, and we caught an impressive number of fish. Patrick was incredibly attentive, making sure everything was just right while keeping the atmosphere fun and relaxed with plenty of laughs. His expertise and easy-going nature made the experience unforgettable and why I keep coming back! Highly recommend!

We have fished with Patrick a few times and each time has been a really memorable experience! Patrick is professional, so knowledgeable, a great teacher, taking time to help me learn new techniques or refine my casting, and is also a lot of fun to fish with! I went fishing with the South Holston River Company two days in a row in early October. My guide was Barry Heller, and he was a fantastic guide. Barry was knowledgeable, fun, and a great guy to fish with. He taught me and my buddy multiple new fly fishing tactics, gave us great advice on how to fish tailwaters, and had all the expertise a guide could ever need. I would 100% go fishing with the South Holston River co. again, and I would recommend Barry as a guide in particular!
