Another Great day on the river with Derek. Extremely knowledgeable and patient guide with all skill levels. Derek strives to make your trip an adventure you will not forget! He is the only guide I will use when fishing Park City and the surrounding areas. Probably the most humble guide I have ever met in 20 years of fly fishing. Call Utah Troufitters for your next trip, you won’t be disappointed!!

Only had one day to fish while I was in town, the weather and water conditions were marginal at best on the Provo, but the dude found the fish! I highly recommend Derek as a guide.

I’ve been fishing with Derek at Utah Troutfitter s for 3+ years. I would not consider any other guide or guide service. Derek goes over and beyond to make sure you have a memorable experience. Ask for the Chicken sausages for lunch!

Second time out with Derek and it didn’t disappoint. My buddy and I get to fish a couple of times a year together if we’re lucky. This trip was awesome, Derek put us on amazing holes and we caught some amazing fatties. Derek is super attentive and as excited for you to catch the fish as if it was himself. I can’t recommend these guys enough!!

We have been living part time in Deer Valley. So far have hired either Logan and Derrick from Trout fitters twelve times. These guys know their stuff where to fish and what set up to use. They are very professional and passionate about fly fishing. Hired many guides over the years. They are the best

Booked a last minute half-day wade trip through Utah Troutfitters website and Derek was in touch quickly with all the info I needed and where to meet him. We had a spectacular morning on the Provo -- he's extremely knowledgeable, patient, and most of all knows how to find the fish. He was constantly matching the hatch like no other and we caught 15+ browns...honestly I lost count in all the action! Would give more than five stars if I could! Highly recommended and will be back!

If you are looking for trophy trout and an awesome experience, stop your search and stop right here. I came here and on a whim for a get together with my two brothers (we all live scattered throughout the US) who I have not seen for a long, long time. We caught numerous (and I mean maybe 20) trout 15” and longer. A heck of a trip…. my brothers and I agree was probably the best fishing trip we have ever been on. Remarkable guides who knew the honey holes and were as patient with intermediate fly fisherman as I could have asked for…. If you look somewhere else, I hope that works out for ya! Many thanks to Derek and Jake who made this experience an experience of a lifetime. We fished three days with these guys and they are simply stellar! We will be back…. Absolutely awesome experience! Bucket list stuff!!!!!!!!!!

Highly recommend! We had the best time with Utah Troutfitters. Logan was our guide, he knew so much about fishing. Our group were some newbes and experienced fishers, Logan managed the group well and made sure we all had a good time. Will definitely book again.

Logan and Derek run the best fly fishing guide service in the Park City area! They took a group of us out and we caught so many fish on the Provo and Weber river both days we fished with them. They are some of the most professional and knowledgable guides I have ever fished with. Would highly recommend will use again!

Absolutely unreal experience with Utah Troutfitters. Guides Logan and Derek know it all. When you spend as much time on the rivers as they do, it really shows and sets you up for a great trip. I have been on trips all across the US and when I mean these guys are dedicated to put you on fish, I mean it!!! They will do whatever it takes. I guarantee you they will tie on every last fly and set up every possible rig to get you on fish. They never give up even when the bite isn’t so hot and are very patient when you miss that hook set. Would 10/10 recommend and will definitely be booking more trips in the near future.

Logan and Derek have a phenomenal guide service operation going and I HIGHLY recommend checking them out if you are ever in the greater Salt Lake or Park City area. I have been fortunate to travel and fish all around the US and in many foreign countries- through these travels I have fished with countless guides and outfitters…. Having said that, I don’t think I have come across a more passionate and knowledgeable group of guides than I experienced with Utah Troutfitters. Give them a call and get on the water …. trust me… they will put you on fish better than anyone else in the area .

Spent a half day on the Provo River with Derek. He worked the whole time trying to find good water and the best set-ups. Derek made the whole experience safe and instructional, since I had not fly fished in a few years. Highly recommend Utah Troutfitters.
