The Yakima River is Washington’s only Blue Ribbon river. With over 80 miles of fantastic trout fishing and gorgeous views along the way, the Yakima is something special. Located only 2 hours from Seattle and an hour from Wenatchee, this makes for a great central location. The river flows from Snoqualmie Pass all the way down to the Columbia. If its trout you are chasing in the upper section or smallmouth in the lower river, the Yakima has something for everyone. Fishing is open and good year round on the Yakima, which makes it one of Wenatchee Fly Company’s favorite rivers.
