Wade fishing for the stately trout is often the first love of every fly angler. We'll head to the Western North Carolina mountains and target public streams. We work with anglers of all skill levels and abilities on these trips. While we welcome children 7 and up, any minor must be accompanied by another paying adult angler.

Spend the day exploring the crystal clear waters on the West Fork of the Pigeon River located in Canton, NC. This scenic river provides excellent dry fly fishing for brown trout, rainbows, and brookies. It also provides ample opportunity at sight fishing for some mighty large trout and regular eagle sightings. Riverside lunch included on full days. 3 people per guide. (max trip # of 8)

Take a chance at “the fish of 10,000 casts” (Skilled Anglers only) The Musky Mile located on the French Broad River here in NC hosts some of the largest and toothiest freshwater fish in North America. Muskies are the Apex Predator of any body of water they inhabit. Known for eating other fish, vermit, and even ducks: this particular monster can only be fooled with large streamers anywhere from 8-12” in length. It’s not for the faint of heart, but when it all comes together, it’s a fish you will never forget.

Full Day Wades are for 1 to 2 anglers. Most full day trips last 6 to 8 hours depending on location, time of year, or if the fishing is just too good to leave. Gear included on these trips are waders, boots, rods, reels, tippet, flies. We recommend being prepared for any and all elements due to unpredictable weather that can occur deep within the mountains. We recommend having a rain jacket, polarized glasses, and a hat. Our guides will have a nice streamside lunch to keep you fueled on your pursuit of the next fish. Your guide will also have enough drinks to keep you hydrated in the hunt for these elusive fish we are after. Full days offer the most potential, especially for the beginner wanting to learn the ways of the sport. We highly recommend it especially when fishing spring and fall months! Half Day Wade’s are 4-5 hours. Everything provided other than lunch.

We'll leave the boat ramp in search of redfish and speckled trout. If conditions are right we'll target the shallow flats to sight fish them. We get redfish from 16" all the way up to over 50" but slot size are the regular. If weather conditions change we can work the creeks and edges for trout.
